Marco Antonio Aguilar began his career in the Entertainment industry at the age of 10 as an actor, appearing on TV in El Salvador. His passion for it never left him, and as an adult he continues to forge his own path as a producer, writer and director.
Wanting to expand his knowledge of the craft, in front of and behind the camera, Aguilar entered California State University Northridge’s Cinema and Television program and graduated with a B.A. in Film Production and a Masters in Screen Writing.
While in attendance he wrote and directed shorts, which opened up another passion for him that was to prepare him for a joint project of grand and ambitious proportions. Aguilar partnered with fellow colleague, collaborator and dear friend, Cheyenne Quintanar, to take on a very controversial project, ARE WE STILL THE UGLY AMERICAN? Aguilar and Quintanar won grants from the Hollywood Foreign Press and the CSUN Associated Students to produce and direct their first feature ARE WE STILL THE UGLY AMERICAN?, which would take them across the Atlantic to get more of a global perspective. This journey would allow them to speak with people from Western Europe, Canada, and parts of the United States, giving voice to people of different cultures about the politics both home and abroad in the US.
As a writer and idea man, Aguilar is a vital part of INCA's success in developing new ideas and partnering to further INCA's presence.
As an actor, Aguilar continues to flourish and his work is getting him attention in both english and spanish media as an up and coming leading man.
